This year, the end of summer/beginning of fall means two things for me: 1) I am now 19 and ancient, and 2) this is my 5th year on Jalopnik/kind of on Oppo. (Btw, if you haven’t realized yet, this is Scoob.)

THAT’S RIGHT. I first started reading Jalopnik when I was 14. I wonder what the long term effects of being on Jalopnik/Oppo are. :P Maybe the mods can chime in.

You’re way younger than me. (26, quickly approaching 27), but you’ve been here way longer. I’ve been here for somewhere in the neighborhood of a year, but been browsing Jalopnik off and on for three years or so.

I'm relatively new to Oppo (almost a year) but have been reading Jalopnik since the beginning. Did you know that before Jalopnik existed all car news was posted to Gizmodo? Back then it had to be a pretty significant (read: expensive) car. No cult of Miata. Brown, manual, diesel wagons weren't cool. I remember thinking: awesome, a new car blog, but how will there be enough news to keep regularly updating?
